Mr. Cohen has extensive experience advising employers in all aspects of federal and California labor and employment law matters. He spends his time counseling employers of all sizes and in all sectors of the economy. Mr. Cohen's practice focuses on assisting employers in complying with labor and employment laws, preventing workplace problems from arising, and training executives, managers and supervisors. He also defends employers against claims brought by employees for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, breach of contract, unpaid overtime, unfair competition, defamation, etc. Mr. Cohen also represents and assists business in dealing with labor union organizing efforts, in defending employers in unfair labor practice proceedings and in negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements. He frequently speaks before employer and trade groups regarding employment matters, such as the USC Entertainment Law Institute, and has published numerous articles on labor and employment law issues. Mr. Cohen graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D. 1974), and the University of California Berkeley (B.A. 1970).
